أقام المركز العربي بالتعاون مع البعض من الشركاء على المستويين المحلي والوطني العام في مدينة ديربورن اجتماع طارئ بخصوص الاحداث الاخيرة. وقد واتيح المجال للجميع للمشاركة في فعالياته. حضر الاجتماع ما يفوق عن ٩٠٠ شخص على تنوعهم. كذلك تمكن الحضور من الاستماع إلى كل من المحامين Noel Saleh, Khaled Beydoun and Abed Ayoub. تناول الخطباء الظروف الراهنة بما يتعلق بمنع بعض البلدان ذات الغالبية المسلمة من دخول إلى أمريكا وكيفية وقوف الجاليات في وجه هذه السياسات الجائرة من خلال بناء لحمة مع الجميع والوقوف جنبا إلى جنب لضمان امريكا متحدة وللجميع. كذلك فقد تمكن الحضور على طرح العديد من الأسئلة بما يخص السفر او امور قانونية أخرى.
وخلص الاجتماع إلى جو من الارتياح والتعبير عن مدى قوة وصلابة الدعم الذي يحظى به المسلمون في الولايات المتحدة الذين يشكلون جزء لا يتجزأ من المجتمع والنسيج الأمريكيين.

ACCESS and its campaign, Take on Hate, along with other local and national partners, hosted an emergency town hall meeting in Dearborn.
The event, open to the public, brought together residents from diverse backgrounds, to hear from knowledgeable and seasoned attorneys Noel Saleh, Khaled Beydoun and Abed Ayoub.
Speakers discussed the current situation regarding the immigration ban that is effecting several Muslim nations, Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), and how the community can organize to stand against these unjust policies, build coalitions with other communities, and stand in solidarity with one another for a united and inclusive America.
Community members in attendance were able to ask questions of the panelists, many that pertained to legal matters or traveling concerns, the support of undocumented members of our communities, and creating safe spaces for dialogue, among others.
With over 900 people in attendance, the main realization was that Muslims in America have a very strong support system and they have, and will continue to be, an essential and integral part of this country.
