أقامت جمعية C-ASIST بالتعاون مع المجمع الاسلامي الثقافي في ديربورن المعرض الصحي السنوي الثاني بهدف تقديم الخدمات الصحية إلى الأفراد الذين ليس لديهم إمكانية الحصول على الرعاية الصحية. وقد تم الترحيب بجميع الحاضرين حيث تحولت القاعة إلى عيادة طبية ضجت بعدد من الأطباء من مختلف الاختصاصات كأمراض القلب وطب الأطفال والغدد الصماء والأمراض الجلدية والطب الباطني والطب العام. وقدموا الرعاية لجميع المرضى دون استثناء وقد أعطيت الأدوية للمحتاجين. كما تم اجراء فحوصات للصحة العقلية وتنظيف الأسنان. إضافة الى ذلك، تم تقديم المرطبات والطعام.
وسيتبع المعرض الصحي، يوم تصوير الثدي بالأشعة المتحركة للنساء اللواتي سجلن للخدمة في ١٣ أيار الجاري في المجمع الإسلامي الثقافي.

C-ASIST/ Islamic Institute of Knowledge held its 2nd Annual Free Health Fair Today from 10:00-4:00 The FREE community event was mainly targeting individuals who don't have access to healthcare but everyone was welcome and no one was turned away. The Institute's large banquet hall was turned into a make-shift clinic where several physicians were on site assessing and providing care. Cardiology, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine, and Family medicine were some of the services given. Free medication was given to those in need. Dental cleaning and mental health screening were also provided.
Refreshments and finger foods were available throughout the day.
This annual health initiative is crucial for our community where many members are unable to seek the medical care they deserve due to lack of health insurance, language barrier, time limitations and lack of transportation . The health fair will be followed by a Mobile Mammogram Unit for the women that registered for the service on May 13th which will take place at the Islamic Institute of Knowledge.
