The American Arab Chamber of Commerce hosted its 22nd Annual Building Economic Bridges Gala on Friday October 17th at Burton Manor in Livonia, Michigan.
The Gala attracted around 800+ guests including distinguished business and political leaders, as well as notable community and media members. The program featured an introduction by Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Ali Dagher, and remarks by the Chamber’s Executive Director, Fay Beydoun. The evening featured a keynote address by the Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Maria Contreras-Sweet. Honored for their career achievements, two American-Arab business leaders were awarded the Economic Bridge Builder of the Year Award: Nawal Motawi of Motawi Tileworks, and Lloyd Baroody of Tabouli Investments. The Chamber also awarded the Gala’s presenting sponsors, DTE Energy and Comerica Bank. A number of public officials presented the awardees and the Chamber with tributes and messages of appreciation.
